Climate & Energy Advisory

Strategic counsel on carbon-free energy and climate resilience, for organizations across Southeast Asia.

Thirty years of civil engineering and policy work, brought to bear on the region's coastal adaptation, clean power, and energy transition projects, as an outside strategic partner rather than a full-time hire.

Where I add value

Firms and agencies across the region are moving fast on climate adaptation and clean energy. What's often missing isn't local expertise; it's an outside, senior perspective on strategy, policy, and how these projects are financed and structured.

Focus 01

Carbon-Free Energy Strategy

Advisory on clean power deployment, grid interconnection strategy, and the technical-to-policy translation that gets energy transition projects funded and built.

Focus 02

Climate Adaptation & Resilience

Coastal protection, flood management, and infrastructure resilience planning, informed by decades of river and environmental policy work in the US.

Focus 03

Policy & Regulatory Navigation

Comparative insight into how climate finance, carbon markets, and regulatory frameworks have played out elsewhere, applied to the specifics of a live project.

Focus 04

Cross-Border Advisory

A US-based resource for organizations that need groundwork, coordination, or a second set of eyes on the American side of a cross-border initiative.

How I engage

  • Advisory retainer. Ongoing strategic counsel, not implementation labor or full-time hours.
  • Project-based advisory. Focused engagement on a specific deal, policy question, or strategy exercise.
  • Introductory call. A short conversation to see if there's a fit before anything is formalized.

What I bring

  • Senior judgment. Thirty years of engineering and policy work, not a junior technical role.
  • Outside perspective. Comparative experience from US climate and energy policy.
  • Direct access. No firm overhead. You work with me directly.

Background

Thirty years of civil engineering experience, including substantial policy work on river management and environmental regulation. Licensed Professional Engineer.

More recently, my focus has shifted toward carbon-free power, a subject I understand technically and have helped deploy, and one I find genuinely interesting to keep working on.

I'm not pursuing forensic or expert-witness work in this practice, and I'm not positioning as a local implementation engineer. This is a strategic advisory relationship: senior counsel on climate resilience and energy transition, for organizations that already have the technical depth and need the outside perspective.

Let's talk about your project.

A short introductory call is the easiest way to find out if this is a fit.
